Hnefatafl (no, we don't know how to pronounce it either) means king's table. Here, this simple but subtle attack and defend game, is reconstructed by archeologists as it was probably played 1000 years ago. The game "board" is heavy linen and the nicely detailed pieces are bone-like plastic.
