Gränna, in Sweden’s Småland region, is known for its red and white polkagris (polka pig) candy. It was first made by the widow Amalia Eriksson in 1859, as a means of supporting her family. Now it’s made all over this popular tourist town, which features a statue of Amalia in a park at the foot of Gränna mountain.
