Henning's Odin
Odin was the powerful father of the gods in Norse mythology. His ravens Huggin (thought) and Muninn (memory) flew throughout the world each day, returning with news for him about everything they saw and heard. Hand-carved in Norway by the Henning Workshop. 9"
Henning Engelsen carved his first wooden figures in 1947 and the following year, founded Henning. After a workshop was built in the idyllic village of Kapp, and employees hired, the business grew steadily and became one of the leading Norwegian souvenir makers. Henning contributed to the tradition of Norwegian carving and continues to take inspiration from nature and folklore. Engelsen remained the creative source for Henning throughout his life and passed the business on to his three daughters.
