Knit a Pair of Socks Class
Slip into the cozy world of socks! This course will cover making one pair of socks: you will learn the anatomy of a sock and how that translates to the knitting realm. Students should know how to knit and purl on double pointed needles, and have a grasp of terms such as Slp, psso, decrease stitches, and pick up stitches.
Saturday, September 13 & 27 from 10:00am to 12:00pm
Materials needed:
1 skein of Regia Gargia Color Design Line (100g/ 420m) sock yarn or equivalent
1 set of double pointed knitting needles size 1 US (usually comes in a package of 5 needles)
Stitch markers that can be moved across the work (the ones you can clip onto certain stitches)
1 darning needle
A small tape measure
A small pair of scissors
Instructor: Sarah Sension - I have been a knitter since I received my first pair of knitting needles at 11. I am also a native Minnesotan and a fourth generation Scandahoovian. It was my Swedish-American grandmother who first taught me to knit, and continued to teach me as I grew older.
