Colorwork Knitting Class
Join Kate and Laila and learn how to use two colors of yarn to knit a colorwork chart. You will make a “speed swatch” and gain the skills to start a stranded colorwork project of your own. The swatch can also be saved and used as a mug rug! This is an in-person class at Ingebretsen’s Nordic Marketplace.
Saturday, April 25th from 10:00am to 12:00pm
Materials: Charts will be provided, please plan on bringing your own yarn and needles to work with: Size US 5-7 knitting needles, preferably 16” circular, or double pointed needles will also work, and 2 contrasting colors of DK or worsted weight yarn.
Supplies can be purchased at Ingebretsen’s with a 10% class discount!
Instructors: Kate and Laila are knitters with a love of whimsy. That’s why they started Knit & Gather to teach others the craft they love. They have both been knitting for over twenty years and love to experiment with different mediums. Coming from Norwegian cultural backgrounds, it is folk art and craft that connects them with their heritage! Together they design patterns and have partnered to teach fiber arts. Their goal is to share knowledge, connect with others, and offer high quality patterns, tools, and more. Follow along and take a class with them!
