Lovikka-Style Headband Pattern

Multi-sized for toddlers to adults, this is a cozy warm, double layer headband. The pattern is inspired by traditional Lovikka mittens originally designed by Erika Aittamaa from the village of Lovikka, Sweden, in the 1890's.
Knit from one skein of Alafoss Lopi (or any feltable single-ply bulky weight yarn) on size 9 (16-inch circular or dp needles), gauge is 12 sts and 20 rounds = 4". Sport-weight yarn is needed for the colors woven in.
