The Julbock Sweater Pattern
A new sweater pattern by knitting designer, Kate Running featuring the Scandinavian Julbock! Often found in Scandinavian Christmas décor and myth, is the Julbock or Yule Goat. These straw goats are wrapped with red ribbon and derive from Norse mythology. They represent good luck and protection. A lightly themed holiday sweater that can be worn anytime of year!
The Julbock Sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down. Short rows are worked after the collar for a better fit. The body of sweater is worked straight down for a universal and unisex fit. Sleeves are picked up last and worked to the cuffs. Pattern and instruction comes in a large range of sizes! Knit with Rauma Strikkegarn or similar. Choose a paper copy or a PDF digital download.
