The Life of Swede Hollow

a Pictorial History,
by Angela DuPaul and Karin DuPaul.
A history of the 30-acre ravine area east of downtown St Paul, known as Swede Hollow. Originally home to the Dakota Indian people, treaties opened it up to white settlement, and it became home to hundreds of people who were new residents to America from the 1850s until the 1950s. Today it is Swede Hollow Park, a nature park in the heart of the city.
