Ultima Thule Small Bowl
Finland’s Tapio Wirkkala, a giant of 20th century design, was born in 1915. His artistic vision was legendary, prompting works in many media including stoneware, jewelry, furniture, and even Finnish bank notes. He designed Ultima Thule (Latin for “the furthest point north”) glassware for iittala in 1968, inspired by dripping icicles. In honor of his centenary, these (and more) vintage pieces join the rest of this popular collection. This 4” piece is the smaller companion to the drinking glasses and serveware in this collection. Hand wash only. Handblown in Finland. 4.25" x 2"
