Violin Concertos
Three superb violin concertos from three of Scandinavia's foremost composers:
Johan Halvorsen, Norway: featuring beautifully lyrical themes and Norwegian character, including Hardanger fiddle effects
Carl Nielsen, Sweden: showing emotive power with a delightfully pastoral character
and Johan Svendsen, Denmark: his spontaneously inventive and romantic Romance.
Performed by Henning Kraggerud on violin,
with the Malmö Symphony Orchestra,
conducted by Bjarte Engeset.
