Rosemaling Classes
Rosemaling (rose painting) is a form of beautiful decorative folk painting that developed in Norway around the 1700s. Looking to learn the folk art and styles of Norwegian Rosemaling? SINGLADE BALLS with Kate Sterner
Kate Sterner will teach you how to make singlade balls, traditional hand-stitched balls made from wool yarn. It's a lovely way to make a toy for a child or a cat, and to use those colorful bits of yarn in your stash. This rare handcraft is found in Denmark and southern Sweden. Kate learned from her Danish grandfather and has created a website dedicated to preserving and furthering this craft. Join Kate and have fun keeping a tradition alive.
Bring wool yarn and a darning needle.
Classes will be held in our Needlework store (1605 E Lake St) and class sizes will be limited to 4 students.

SAMI-INSPIRED BRAIDED BRACELET CLASS with Katherine Buenger
Make a four strand braid using tin thread, and then hand sew the braided piece to reindeer leather to make an elegant bracelet. Choice of leather colors and button options including reindeer antler buttons.

Class fee: $65 plus $40 materials fee
BLACKWORK PINCUSHION CLASS with Becky Lieser
In this class you will be making your own pincushion (biscornu) using blackwork embroidery techniques! Once finished you will have a 2” project, using two squares stitched together to give a unique shape.
Tuesdays, June 10, 17, & 24 from 10:00am to 12:00pm
Class fee: $75
DOUBLE KNIT SCARF CLASS with Sarah Sension
This class will cover double knitting. The pattern is for an advanced beginner or intermediate knitter. Students will need to know how to knit and purl as well as read a pattern chart. This is an excellent introduction into colorwork knitting.

DALA HORSE PAINTING CLASS FOR FAMILY & FRIENDS with Julie Anderson
This class is designed for parent and child pairs, but all are welcome!
Registration is per person
In this class you will design and paint a wooden milled Dala Horse. No painting experience is necessary and the instructor will guide you through the process. Horse and painting supplies are provided for your use in class.

Class fee: $50 Materials Fee: $15
